"For many years, I suffered from severe dental phobia, due to very traumatic childhood experiences in the dental chair. I avoided going to the dentist at all costs. With that, of course, comes a healthy dose of embarrassment, which leads to further avoidance.

At any rate, I had a bicycle wreck in September of 2008 and was forced to see a dentist, because one of my front teeth had come loose in the wreck. Dr. Ashton saw me immediately and knew exactly how to treat somebody with the level of fear I had. She took care of everything, including tasks that are normally done by the assistants. For the next several months, I saw her very regularly to fix not only the problem caused by the accident, but many years of neglect. I initially underwent several sedation procedures, which allowed me to get a lot of work done at one time and a really good "nap" to boot. Towards the end, I was able to have work done without being sedated. Dr. Ashton and her entire staff are extremely caring and professional and have treated me with the utmost respect throughout. The experience has literally changed my life. I am able to smile without being embarrassed and also give the gift of a smile to others and for that I will be forever grateful to Dr. Ashton."
